Anyone know of a Lexus bi-xenon projector we could use? That would let us use the fantastic discount we get from Champion / Vancouver Toyota...

grim i believe the rx330 are bixenon, but i think it's way to big, to fit in the mk3, you might have to cut up the back support for those projectors to fit if you still want to keep the pop up headlights

Ya, I definitely want to keep the popups. They are one of the defining features of the car. How hard was the Fx35 refit?

I picked up a spare set of the entire headlight assemblies so that I can do fitting and any mods required on the bench instead of in the car.

with the infinity fx projectors you wil sit very close especially how you mount it on the headlight housing itself with the ballast connector itself, but i had to trim the actuall assembly the very back middle piece that actually rest on the radiator support, for the ballast to clear i will take some pictures tomorrow to show you how close it sits and how it goes

Mind if i ask what headlamp housings you used for your retrofit? Hellas? eBay? Stock?

Thanks

it depands on the housings, ive try ebay specials and they don't work dont fit. but if you did want to use the rx330 you can but it also has the self adjusting unit which makes it big.

that is pretty much how i did it not the same, i think the fx35 is more intense than the g35 i know the projectors are almost the same, i would love to run some tl's but the projectors are way to long you don't have much room to stuff any other projectors unless you start cutting a lot of stuff off to make it fit

i'm with him! i got a set of fx35 projectors on my supra best mod ever

Nice work. :) I just picked up an entire set of fx35 stuff. They're going in my M3, though.

I'll do some poking around for ya. Edit: The only Lexus projector I could find is 3", which is likely to be much too large for our housings. :( Even so, the FX setup shouldn't cost more than $300 for everything if you look for deals. I got my stuff cheap! (and it's all in new condition, too!)

Throw some TSX lenses on those fx35 projectors and you'll be 100% golden! :) It looks like you did a fantastic job! (makes me antsy to get the retro done to my M3!)
