yea im from Indiana/ Illinois. i just got a 88 supra 2 weeks ago pickd it up for 500$ and all it needed was a fuel pump, but i had diffrent plans for the car and i seen how all the diehard toyota fans hate when ppl swap a chevy small block in them, luckly im not a toyota diehard, but im guna make it a nice build with a mild 350 4bolt build and 700R4 bhind it, but nunthing is set instone yet with the motor, trans and rearend, but i do kno its guna have a rollcage and fuel cell in the car and the interia all set for strip racing and possibly sum road/track, so far with only having woring on the car for 5hours motor is ready to b pulld 1 motor mount left till i get a hoist and the trans dropd, i will post more pics later as the build gos on

Okay first of all - can you please keep build threads separate, in the correct section. Secondly, please use better spelling & grammar, it's hard to read what you're posting.

I feel like Indiana Jones deciphering code. ;-)

The grammar definitely fits a person that would swap a 350 into a supra.

Whoa whoa whoa, don't give people the impression that we hate V8's in supras....what's that?...It's carb'd? ...Carry on.

Welcome to Supramania, do as you please to your car, make a build thread, but don't put us through 10th-grader texting.

This is embarrasing guys I thought as a community we were over all of the bashing and sterotyping bullshit... :nono:

The OP may pull off a clean swap that runs well and makes good power/reliability something very few members can achieve no matter the powerplant, wait and see what he produces before talking shit.

If he wants to continue this thread as his build I'll move it to the Builds Gallery.

Don't sweat it I did an LS swap a couple of years back, do a good job and try and maintain as many "Supra Features" as possible ie: AC/PwrSteer and so on and you'll get props for your work, half ass it and the guys will crucify you ;)

To upgrade the brakes you'll need a bigger rim 18" IIRC. There's some interesting brake upgrades you can do that's on here if you search for them. I'm not too familiar with suspension upgrades that will do a good drag track/track car maybe a quick swap setup will be needed?

I could care less if he puts a smogged out 1978 Rochester two barrel carbed Chevy 350 in his car or an ls9. I'm giving him shit about his actual post. What's really embarrassing is a forum full of posts that are written out like a 10 year old girls text message. Nothing is spelled out and its almost impossible to read. If someone asks questions and wants members to take the time to help with a problem or provide feedback then at least take the time to write out the words in your post.

I've seen it happen before, but nothing wrong with a V8 in a Supra. My *only* criticism of going SBC is the fact that it's an iron block, that's not going to help with handling, something I've always considered important in a sports car. Do a good clean swap, make some reliable power out of it, lay down some good times at the track... can't give you too much crap if you do it right. :)

Always been a pet peeve of mine but it's so common and accepted now due to SMS Texting it's hard to tell if it's on purpose or stupidity....

The medium we use to communicate is the written word if you shortcut it I read it as "a mumbling retard" and rarely offer input or help.

Not such a big deal in a GT car like the Mk3 though ;)
