Hello all

I just got my 87 Turbo, with 89 trim kit. Body has 160k engine is supposedly a 91 with 74k.

I am a pro wrestler and travel a lot. Got this for my Grand Touring car for my cross country trips!

www.irwpro.com is my wrestling company.

Issues right now with the ride.

Boost leak, FC when i rev a lil, but drives amazingly if i dont hit the FC. (fixing asap)

Tailight fuse pops randomly causing everything attached to the load to go out. i am working on that RIGHT now.

Dome lights don't work.

1 Seat motor is out.

kinda shabby interior...

Good stuff...

i will make plans for her after i fix this boost leak.

i want to keep her reliable as i said i want to take her all over the US!

maybe the first stage upgrade for the c26 (cant think of the name) just to get it to spool up a little quicker.

all new interior which i am shopping for on this forum

cant think of more right now until i fix the boost leak :}

Yeah the first trim upgrade for the ct26. (before my account was validated i found the thread that listed them all, but now can't find it.)

For now yes, I will keep it a/t , I really wanted a manual one, but I want to learn how to work on this car completely and learn how to drive it well enough that I can change to M/t.

Aw, that interior aint so bad. I normally dont like blue inside (guessing thats what yer putting new stuff in to change), but I think blue interior on that color is pretty nice lookin'.

I was expecting rat chewage and huge holes. A couple hours of nit-picking cleaning and that thing would be borderline mint!



BTW, Welcome from another sorta noob here.

Yeah man, I had an 89 Celica ST and it literally had tiger fur in it. The mechanic i bought it from had a pic of his supposed wife (looked like a supermodel) in a vett convertible, with a tiger. So I guess they also put the tiger in the celi.

I love how easy taking apart the whole dash and interior is on this car. I'm going to pull each piece out and clean the shit out of all of them. Take out seats, shampoo, vacuum, and stitch any little rips on the floor.

Are there are seat covers that fit easily? Or I might have to try and stitch the seats up, cuz they each have 1 rip by the metal bar.

So far, I fixed ALL my electrical problems (I know of)

Am getting the coolant leak fixed tuesday (like 70 bux, I wanted to do it myself, but couldnt get to the hose)

Still in progress...

Turbo Boost Leak Repair

WHEEL ALIGNMENT (sideways steering wheel and weird driver side tire)

after those 2 i should be good to DRIVE! :}

OK updates are as follows.

Fixed TailLight Shorts
Replaced broken Door Hinges
Replaced broken Gas Tank Spring
Replaced Broken Seat Motors
Fixed Dome lights
Fixed Fog Lights


Ordered a Lower IC hardpipe.
Having Coolant leak fixed.

And thats all for now!

New Problems which arose...

Noticed my driver side front tire is awkwardly leaning inward on the bottom.
STUCK oil filter (went to do oil change and it won't budge) (I tried every trick... literally, plus every tool)
Random stalls (A/T no clue why)
