Hey guys my name is Omar, I'm new to the Supra world but not the toyota world. I'm a proud owner of 2 MR2's. I have an MKI that I've rebuilt the whole motor to and currently doing body work. My other one is and MKII that I've also done a motor rebuild on it just so I can drive it while I create its monster motor. I have the 3rd gen 3sgte that I'm building for it. Looking for 600hp at minimum. I know quite a bit but I still consider my self a noob.
Right now I'm looking to buy a MKIII Supra, its an 88 turbo auto :nono:. It's in great shape the body is straight no dings, no rust. It's all OEM, but the cars has a knock... I've done some research and its possible that it can be a cam ticking or the fairly known rod knock. I checked it out yesturday and had the guy turn it on, the car doesn't knock at idle, but when it revs or drives it starts to give a little knock. To me its coming from the head. This car is a steal for what it is, it's condition. I'm getting it dirt cheap, and will be getting it this friday. I'm glad i can join this community, I've always loved Supras especially the MKIV. It's been my dream car since I was a child, but right now I'm going to settle with an MKIII still love it and hope I can getting running with normal.
