Hey Rakkasan.

Your name?...Is that from the 101 airborne division ?

I forgot most of it..I read it somewhere..

Cheers,
Roy

LOL, someone figured it out. :biglaugh: The infantry Brigade I was in, the 187th Infantry, were given the name Rakkasans by the japanese during WWII. It means "falling umbrellas in the sky". My avatar is the Tori, the japanese symbol for the "gateway of honor", adopted by the 187th after stomping a mudhole in the Koreans ass in Corrigidor. :biglaugh:

No, I went to Airborne School, but I was never assigned to an airborne unit. I'm much more adapt to Air Assault operations. I spent a lot of time at Ft Campbell, more than half of my 10 years.

The more I think about it, there has been only two combat jumps since WWII. The 173rd made one jump in Viet Nam & the 82nd jumped into Panama. I doubt that there is more than a few people still in service that have made a combat jump.
