I did actualy just go for the 3 bolts holding the downpipe to the elbow after all :biglaugh:. I did it yesterday, using roughly 20" of extensions and a wobbly piece. Those bolts were stuck but luckily I also have a 24" breaker bar from years ago when I took a crank bolt off another 7m ;). I actually cracked the female end of one of my mastercraft extension bars doing this, but used a thicker one with reducer and got all bolts off and downpipe gone! Now I can take out the automatic tranny :canada. Btw I've been doing all of this in my parking space in the underground parking at my apt heh, I feel like a hobo going through the cardboard bins a lot. I also really love Mastercraft and their lifetime warranty. The tools are very good quality wise, and they will last me forever as I just replace them if/when they break! (usually my fault)

My ratchet wrenches are the first thing I grab. I love em!!

Why not just remove the three bolts at the bottom of the elbow? Soak them with WD40 on a Friday evening, turn on them Saturday Morning, and then go inside for some eggs, bacon, and pancakes after the exhaust is sitting on the ground! :)

He's in Seattle. Oddly enough, it's tough to find a Canadian Tire store in the USA. ;)
