help with BOV

i just got my greddy type-S in the mail and noticed it has two(2) vaccum line fittings? one of them is the vaccum to opertae the valve and the other.....i dunno it allows air to move thru the chamber with the valve closed.

anyone? i need to know what to hook the lines to. no one has a greddy type-S on here

I think...

The bottom smaller one is a vent. You can hook it up if you like ON THE BOOST SIDE before the valve body.

The top one is to opperate the BOV. It goes AFTER the throttle body.

so, the vaccum one goes to a plain vaccum line like from the manifold and the smaller one 'can' be hooked to say the IC piping. now i assume can means it dosen't have to be. if i don't should i cap it or leave it open?

you hook up the larger vacuum port, and you leave the lower smaller one vented. just pretend its not there.

I have the Type-S too. I love the thing out of the others I have used. I also have the bottom port hooked up to a boost ref. The reason why that second port is there is to use the positive pressure to push up on the valve while the vacuum source pulls. By doing this it creates a faster valve response to fully remove compressor surge. I left the bottom port off at first with my 60-1 on the car and got surge in lower boost levels. With that port hooked up it took care of it all.
