can you get some visegrips or anything like that on the bolt...or even cut the head off? If you have a welder you could weld a nut to the end of the bolt and most likely get it off that way.

Its a really really tight space and i tried the vise grip idea, no luck what so ever.

I kinnda got frustrated and gave up for now, im gonna go at it later tonight.

No welder here!

in tight spots like that, things get pretty limited...just don't get too pissed off and do something stupid...no matter how bad you want to you will regret it later.

^ Yeah, Jason pwns Zach's mom...

I would try to get all the other studs out on the mani, and pull up on the manifold like it was a giant ratchet, I've broken small brackets loose like that, and I'm sure the same concept applies... I wont promise that doing that wont screw something else up, or make matters worse, but it should do the trick I would think.

Thats a good idea, im gonan try it tommarow if i cant get my new idea to work. The only things it ite my headers, there for i would have to move the entire half of the exhaust up and down. lol, ill give it a shot, if not, im off to sears!

And Tubbie, your being seriouis about it? Or your being sarcastic? Im definatly going to purchase this if it works!

Will: You have a few options, you can buy the Tubbie tools or a Needle Socket but the low cost way is to get either a small cold chisel or a screwdriver you don't love and a hammer.

Place the Chisel at the outer edge of the nut and tap with the hammer making sure you have it facing the direction needed to loosen the nut.

A few whacks should crack it loose and as the nut is cootered anyway it doesn't matter if you damage it more!

My only worry about this is if i hit it and it brake the bolt in half. Then im in worse condition than i am currently. But ill give it a try if all else fails.

You're hitting the nut on it's outer edge so there's no load going into the bolt! (no way will you break the stud off)

i agree with IJ, tapping it is probably the best way to go. if you wanna make it easier try and get a dremel in there and cut a notch to fit the screwdriver slot in. then just whack away...
