So with the AEM can you data log to a laptop? I was a little unclear after reading the item description. If so, how is the software/display?
It just seems to me that this is a key component if any street tuning is to be done. This is why I have been leaning towards the innovate motorsports LC-1. From what i've read they seam to have the best software package, and a reasonable price.

usually people with dynos have a pretty good monitoring system for air fuel ratios if all you want to do is use it for tuning

from my understanding, no aem can NOT datalog. with the lc-1 you can go without a gauge, and innovate has a few packages with the lc-1 and gauges.

^^^another option. has a few simple displays with the lc-1

not without a rebuild...and even then there are never any guarantees...but if you want to make it as reliable as possible, use a mls hg, prep the head and block properly, and make sure your new bearing clearances are all within spec...new oil pump, etc..
