I'm posting this out to all my usual forums because I'm in need of help. My Cressida has a 1JZ swap and I JUST finished doing a single turbo swap and at the same time swapped in a set of fresh USDM 550cc injectors (low impedence) and a Supra/2JZGTE resistor box.
I just started the car up and it's not firing on all cylinders. I have searched all the forums for answers on this in the past with no help or advice from anyone, so I could really use help now to get my car running right. Anyways, it's the injectors, I could only 'hear' two or three of them clicking away at idle, and when I unplugged a couple of them (#1, 2, 3, 4, the others are hard to reach) with the car running there was no change in idle when I pulled off #1 and #3. When I pulled off #2 the idle dropped even more and rougher, so I know that one is firing, and the same story with #4, so I know those two are working, but 1 and 3 and possibly some of the back ones are not firing.
Now, the non-standard thing is I got a Supra 2JZ resistor box...this has 7 wires unlike the usual 7MGTE resistor box that only has 4. So I wired each injector individually to each wire. With the 7M resistor you pair them up 1/4, 2/6, and 3/5. I did not do this, I wired each one individually since I had 6 resistor wires and 1 power wire. So I'm wondering if that's wrong (batch vs sequential?). Should I just use 3 of the wires and batch them together like the 7M resistor wiring? Or is there something else I've done wrong? Nobody replied before to my questions about wiring in a 2JZ resistor box, please help if you can!
This first drawing is how I currently have it wired
This is how I'm thinking it might need to be wired, but I'm not sure! Please help me! This is how the 7M resistor box is wired:
You might see this posted on some other familiar forums, I need help so I'm soliciting to as many as I think could help.
