So, the boom had cracked. Sorry no fail picture, the engine is now out thanks to a tree in my yard, haha. I can take a picture of the hoist with the boom in if you really wanna see how badly it went. Nothing was hung up, engine came out just fine once the tranny was off and it was hooked up to the tree.

I haven't slept yet, but am looking forward to seeing how many cylinders were knocking and where the HG was blown. I'll post pictures of what the inside of a 7m looks like after going from 137k-almost 152k with rod knock and a BHG out of necessity... Don't even ask me how it lasted so long, but it did start out mild and when parked for the removal once I moved it was BAD.

Anything I should definitely do? Plan on cleaning absolutely everything, replacing what needs to be replaced and going piece by piece onto the rebuild block. The head I got is dusty as hell, how would you guys suggest I clean it? Disassemble and pressure wash, or what? It was rebuilt, and left in a garage in the bag from the shop.

I found about a quart of oil in my intercooler and about another quart coating EVERY line/pipe on the car it could get into. Definitely a blown turbo, or was the engine just that screwed? There wasn't any smoke or anything, no CEL's either.

The clutch that came out is literally brand new, makes me mad that I bought a 6 puck already. If anyone needs a cheap stock clutch + PP... hah

Going to clean myself up, and the get some sleep before work all night. I'll post pictures tomorrow when I get home from work at 7am and take some.

I work the next three nights, so I am thinking cleaning and such for the next few days, then maybe getting it back in on my two days off if it's ready. I just hope I don't need to wait forever for a tiny gasket or something. :-/

Here are some older pictures of the car.

Very clean looking supra...

But yea man your gonna have to clean EVERYTHING.
Pressure wash the head, pour some gas on/in it though also...
Or if your doing a complete rebuild then you can just leave it alone
and have the block/head hotanked.

It will do a much much better job than pressurewashing...

If i were you, and of course if you have the budget.
Go all out on the rebuild.

Hot tank(Sonic if possible)
Crank/rods Balanced
New main/rod bearings
MHG/Arps
Full Cometic Gasket kit
All new hoses
etc etc

&& Just because the piples/lines have a ton of oil in them
it doesn\\\'t mean its a blown turbo and its most likely not blown.

Yes we wanna see the boom lol!

SM loves pictures of broken things.
