Straight to the point. When i bought my supra it did not have a fan shroud. I just got it back about a week ago due to BHG had an aluminum radiator put in ago with a MHG. Well my car started to overheat then it went down to normal OT. When i got to my destination there was smoke all in the back of the engine and it was oil. The entire time i was going 45-65 mph. Now when i try to start it it just wants to start but doesn't also i have a half tank of gas any ideas people.

1. Buy a fan shroud.
2. Was it smoke, or oil? Was it coming out of the tailpipe, or burning off the exterior of the engine?
3. Wants to start? What does that mean? Does it fire? Have you checked for spark, fuel, or codes?

Check your oil level too before you crank it next, it'd be bad if you crank it dry and not know.

What type of fastners were used to clamp the head to the block?
Was the head AND block machined for the MHG?

I honestly have no clue on the fasteners or if it was machined.

Spark plugs are new not even 400 miles on them
How would i check for fuel?
And I've been reading about the code system and it confuses me honestly.

Maybe you should try to find someone in your area that's a little bit more comfortable with these cars. Get them to show you how to check codes, etc...you are going to need some new skills if you don't want to spend unnecessary $$ troubleshooting! gl.

so let me get this straight: You took the car to a shop to have the headgasket replaced. You got the car back a week ago. Today the car overheated for a short period of time, and after you got done driving it there was oil burning off the back of the motor. Now it just cranks but you get no start not even a sputter. That about right?

I would say its very likely that the shop that did the repair did not do a good job and you probably have a blown headgasket and leaking cam cover seals. I would immediately contact the shop and tell them whats happened. Unfortunately, even if they offer to repair it again for free, there is no guarranty they will do any better.

As for the no start, there isnt enough information to give a good answer.

That is correct but i was driving for about 1.5 hours. do you guys have any thing you think i should check? The cps wiring is ok i see the clutch fan turn and the cranks turn but there is a slight sputter when trying to crank.

Pull the plugs out and look at each one, see if they are oil fouled or wet when you take em out.

one was what? wet? oil covered?

Either way its not good. You can try cleaning them but the oil/water is getting there from somewhere (BHG, bad rings, valve seals). If its that bad then you are looking at major repairs. Like I said, I would contact the shop that did the work. Make em tow it back in and repair it right.

Your spark plug galary may be filled with oil and that would result in no start issue. Your valve cover gaskets may be leaking, burning oil. You should give it a check.

^^^Agreed, start with clearing any and all oil out of the plug galley and then check the torque on all of the valve cover screws/bolts (they're supposed to be 22 INCH pounds... do not mistaken that for 22 ft. lbs.).
