I will post #'s when i get them. Wont be for months tho. I dont think i will really notice the turbo lag (atleast not as much as others) I have only ran stock twins on a stock car. So a full rebuild and hopefully double the horsepower will probably be so fast ill love it anyway. How much shaft play is normal on a turbo? at first the shaft seemed 100% solid but i have noticed sum play. How much shaft play does a brand new turbo have? When does it become a real issue? Other than burning oil can it cause other problems?

935 have you shipped any of my second order? or are you waitin for it all to come in first?

Eh the problems buying a turbo online, I'd get it checked by turbo shop if your going to use it. But if your goin gt40 you'll be good.

I am in B.C, just out of Vancouver.

Does any one have any true numbers about the gt35R on a 1jz, like dyno sheets spool time etc.... Everyone says its the sweetest setup, but I have found any hard facts yet. People post your results!!!!

It's the same turbo used in the ~$6000 HKS 1jz turbo kit, and you've probably seen it on many drift cars at the professional level. It's not an experimental setup :icon_wink

GT4088 is on the boarderline of too big for a 400whp 3.0l engine, I don't understand why everyone wants to put it on a 1jz. If you're going to ruin the nice spool and throttle response of the 1jz then you might as well put a 2jz in the car instead.

With the gt4088 turbo kit your paying the same price as our kit but getting a turbo that retails for about $500 less that's not ball bearing. Their downpipe is more complete then ours, but still requires welding. Remember, the GT35R being ball bearing is also water cooled, meaning my kit has two more hoses, and all our hoses have fire sleeving, plus an inline oil filter is included. Honestly, we barely make enough money off the kit to make it even worth the time it took to put it together, so I really am not trying to talk you into our kit as much as talk you out of a turbo that is not going to give you the performance you want.

Go the option i went i guess

GT35/40R T4 split pulse 1.08 tubine .70 compressor dual ball bearing set up the turbo is rated to 700hp you really dont need more it spools early 3000 rpm range and starts to hit max at the end of 3000 but its power will hang in the higher rpms also!

Also big note : goto some RX7 pages they even have a GT35R with better ar turbin set ups

go gt35r first if its to small then goto a gt4088 but start small first because the bigger you go the more you have to upgrade i asume you have a 1jz the largest injectors that will work with that fuel rail is 555cc before you have to upgrade it so use the gt35r for now then when you want more get the top feed and the larger injectors and a standalone then goto gt40 because of all the extra upgrades also the walbro is only good to 600 hp so after a really good gt35r you will need a duel fuel pump setup or a really good single one.
