Well, everyday I get closer to finishing this swap, but I'm having trouble locating some of the connections. Below is where I'm having trouble.

Alright. Now I'm just having trouble finding the plugs coming from the harness and the ones on the body harness near the battery.

I know one of the plugs in the second picture is from the steering rack, but I can't find where the connection is at on the body harness or wiring harness.

third pic looks like t/c compressor

cant tell the second pic connectors

In the third picture, the connector next to the AC connector is the power connection coming off the Rack.

I cant find where to connect it to the harness, can anyone help me with the location?

Do you know if there is any way of hardwiring the PPS to the car?

Matt-

The PPS plug should be hangin on the alternator side ( passenger side )from the 1JZ harness. You will need to extend this plug to reach the the solenoid on the power steering rack located on the Drivers side.

It's not there. The harness I'm working with is a Mike Urbano harness, early harness. Perhaps it was forgotten.

I figure I need to hard wire the PPS.

Where does the engine side of the PPS wire end up?

ON the passenger side for a right hand drive car.

YOu can just run two wires straight from the M1 Dash plug to the solenoid plug on the steering rack.

LOL. Now I just need to figure out how to find out what the M1 Dash plug is. To any available pin location? I'm I making it more difficult than it needs to be?

3rd picture is jb#2 connector it haves your alternator wires.
the small connector in this picture goes to the water temp sensor (bottom left of radiator) for the hydrofan ecu.

I just realized your response. You said it has the alternator wires, but I thought the alternator wires were from the body harness, which I extended and already have plugged into the alternator.

If I'm wrong where does this connector go?

Thanks,

You dont need PPS if your car did not come with it factory on the body. It actualy gets in the way if your car didnt have PPS on the rack. You dont need to change your rack and add the controller and I would avoid it unless you need it or want to go through the trouble of adding things.
All it does is turn off the power steering when your car goes faster speeds so you could get a little more road feedback.
The older supras or non equiped with PPS use a stabalizer strut and power steering on these just turns on the hydrolic assist as you turn your steering wheel.

My rack came with PPS it has the connection on it. I test drove my car(it actually starts, it was the EA2 connector,) without the PPS connected, it sucked. It felt hard and none responsive as I pulled into my driveway.

I have the connector coming off the rack, but nothing to connect to on the engine harness.

It's two wires, Do you guys know where they go?

Where is the M1 Dash Plug? Do you have a picture or location? Does anyone else?

Sorry, its not the M1 connector, its the B3 connector .
IF you have a 89 + Supra, this will be a dark grey plug near all the other body plugs close to the ecu area -
It has 10 pins .

Pin # 10 = White/Green (connects to same color on PPS Solenoid connector)
Pin # 4 = White/Red (connects to same color on PPS Solenoid connector)

Just look for these two colored wires on the connectors on your harness and you will find it. There are a few empty spots on this plug as well.

Hope this helps.

Are you sure it's a 10 pin connector? Anyhow, I see a 10 pin connector with the white green and white red wires. But the wires coming from the rack are red/blue and red/black. Which goes to which?

OK.. first of > What year is your car. ???
2nd, yes, Im sure about the B3 connector being 10 pins

3rd, I'm basing my answers according to the EWD diagrams for the 1992/1991 model that I have in front of me.
My car which is a 1992 model has the same color wires all the way through.
I have seen the R/B and R/BL wires but on an 89 I believe. (not sure)
Even TSRM online shows the same color wires I mentioned. Best is to have someone check the connector and determine which way the plug fits and which wires corespond to which.

White/Green = Negative
White/Red = Positive
