You could just swap the tundra engine into a supra...

go with the cummins diesel - its the bang for the buck truck, unless your feeling like spending money go for the duramax. But for sure stay away from the powerchoke's....I mean powerstroke

Although the engine is the best out of the 3 choices of diesels, I wouldn't go for it:

-Weak drive train, especially the transmission

-Weak front end parts. You'll be replacing brakes and tires before 30,000 miles.

This comes from experience. :)

when I got mine.. I had a flatbed trailer with ramps hitched to a late 90's dodge ram. it worked great it was like a 100 mile drive. well thats all the input I can offer.

uh... #1 let me just say that the whole "truck" thing in california is getting way out of hand, v8 big powermax ultra diesel 500000 cubic inches of quad turbo 12" exhuast raised 42 feet into the air.. wtf is the point. (the norcal star tops it off, GAY)

anywho.. save your money, and buy an older chevy with a rebuilt 350 for cheap, itll last a long time, no reason to go overboard.

I think my friend said that its using a Mercedez transmission right now and that dodge is changing them to a stronger trans pretty soon.

As for the front end problems I have'nt heard him mention anything.

How's it going Jeff? I for one love Ryans suggestion of the Pimp Mobile. Leave it with the same shocks on it as well..............:biglaugh:

I love my F150 and it pulls a trailer fine, but of course a 250 would be even nicer. I've never owned or driven a diesel powered truck. I've driven a diesel powered semi. If you get home and get your car fixed, you won't have to haul it around. I'm borrowing Blakes trailer to go to Chicago with next weekend. He's a good guy, but I think his dyno sucks. Everytime I leave there, my car is running pig rich................:3d_frown:

I was thinking 1, 3, 4, and 5..............:biglaugh:

i have pulled 3 different supras (all mk3) varying lengths in a 93 F350 dually with the regular vanilla 7.3 w/ 250,000 on it....one was only 10 miles, the second one was about 100 miles, the 3rd (heaviest of the 3) was about 600 miles.

Bryan's truck (Sloww) is sick. He came over a couple times and it literally took up my entire driveway. Not to mention it sounds bad ass.

just buy my bronco :) , the 5.0 in it will haul a car n trailer easy

but if your going diesel, DEF get a cummins. the straight 6, 6.0L turbo diesel is like 600 ft/lbs of torque stock, and you can bump it up to like 1000 ft/lbs with a controller. secret? 26000 psi fuel pressure. powerstrokes n gm's are like 14000 psi. my dad has an 07 2500 big horn, god that thing is awesome

I have an 05 4 door loaded nissan titan for sale... I've pulled my supra several hundred miles with it no problems. It has a 10k pound towing capacity, and will still get around 17-18 mpg pulling a supra on the highway...
