So i trouble shooted for about a hour im stumped i let her cool down and she idles around 900 and u give her gas and she sputter and backfires still missing also.....p.s no codes heres some vids to show u what i dealing with the engine vid wistleing is the filter .

No, it varies on how off it is. Check timing and go from there. All fluids and connections good. You said no codes right?

Plugs (too large gap), coils/ignitor (weak spark), throttle position sensor, boost leak maybe?

Only things I can think of, aside from timing as MK3runner said above...

Mine does the same thing if it hasn't ran in a while and been properly warmed up. It did the same thing to me the other day. It ran like shit, sounded like a Subaru WRX, and had very little power. The warmer it got the better it ran. Once it warmed up fully it ran just fine.

You sure, 1j ecus are sometimes hard to spot. But yougot a decent check list now to see where your at. Your running drunk rich and timing is still unknown??

If you say your check engine light is on and its not giving you any codes when you jumper te1 and e1... that's pretty good evidence the ECU is bad. What did you do when you said you "checked it" the other day? Sometimes you can't really see the problem. The only sure way to check the ECU is to try one off of a good running car and see if it fixes it. Mine was doing the same thing with the codes when it was blown and my car ran like ass.

check the crank sensor. i washed my motor once and the crank sensor got wet. same thing, motor wouldn't rev over 2000 rpm. left it over night to let the sensor dry next day started and ran like a champ.
