i forgot to take a pic of the apexi before it got dark out but you can still see it above the switch board where there should be a head unit (it was a long ride back from SC without it)

No, the guy who built it recently passed (R.I.P.) but he was trying to turn this into a drag car, it seems that everything is turned down as low as possible though, including the fuel pump and boost. The thing even has NO2, Cry02, and methane injection systems (none of which I need nor want)

Well the Apexi monitoring device is a tuning device used to adjust how much fuel is going into your engine. Go to Google and search up "Apexi SAFC 2." There should be information about it and it'll give you a much better explanation than I ever can about what it does and how it does it. It's a good idea to keep that.

i wouldnt of bought something this moded out..... but if everything is turned down as low as possible it might not be getting the correct air fuel ratio but i could be wrong.

There's a LOT of stuff going on. Really need to see someone that knows these cars to really know what's going on. Probably needs a tune.

It's Not Important Bro
Assuming you got a great deal. How does the exterior look? Nice brake kit and some cool tricked-out stuff under the hood. Potential is abound with this car. Hopefully some of his buddys can give you some background.

Lol I drove it home for $6K! It has the factory cup holder in the console but that's pretty useless cuz I lean on the console when I drive. Exterior is in really good shape, it's the one on my profile in black. It needs a new front lip though. From the looks of things I think this guy was making it into a drag car. I didn't actually know the guy but I bought it from his buddy and all he could tell me was that the guy spent a lot on it and "it's really fast"
It drove ok on the trip from SC back to MD but you could tell it wasnt running right. And it only ever showed a max of 8lbs of boost. I'm definitely gonna end up pulling the methane,CryO2, and NO2 systems, I just have no use for them and want just a fast daily driver that I don't have to worry about so much

Car needs a good cleaning up. It has wires and stuff running everywhere! You could almost sell a bunch of those parts and get enough money for a standalone and good tune.

Not really a lot to clean up. It's all there for a good reason.

Well, the NO2 and CryO2 systems could be ditched. The meth injection system would be wise to keep if you're looking to make power. It's also not methane, it's methanol ;)

Also...that's probably the steal of the century if the engine is as sorted as it should be...

Not exactly sure what methanol does, I got the other two but not clear how that works. I'll prob end up selling all three just cuz I don't have any use for them, I wish I could get somebody to just swap in a 1JZ setup in trade for this engine and all the goodies (although the apexi is growing on me lol) it's got a rediculous shift kit on it meow as well, but I like it and I like that the tranny has been rebuilt. Overall I love the car but I'm overwhelmed by under the hood and the back seat... :/

Methanol injection reduces intake temperatures to keep things safe when boosting (which is hard on the car even though the engine is designed for it). Methanol injection is definitely a great thing to have when driving a Turbo car IMO. (again, research more on the advantages of meth injection on Google).

Yeah but that what I needed was an auto (can't drive a stick anymore :( ) and the tranny has a competition shift kit for drag racing, again, way overbuilt but this doesn't worry me like the engine does

Well, the nitrous and CO2 systems can left alone (just don't hook up a bottle), but the meth will help with tuning. It probably really needs a good tune, but you'd have to see what it has for electronics.

Might want to hunt around for someone that knows these cars really well up in your area to look it over and get it squared away.
