HELP igniter!!!

hi so i just recently bought a mk3 turbo i have a couple of mk3 non turbo and turbos in the past but i have never had a problem with the igniter before never dealed with it before could that be good reason why it wont completley start its trying to turn over but wont completey start i know they get corroted from time the car does have 293,00 mles on it so its the original igniter do u think its just from old age i know its like a 500 dollar part

has anybody had this problem before i had replace plugs wires and starter coil pack and coil pack plugs kause the originals were messed

Then check your codes

You get back from SM, what you put into it. You said your car won't start, and immediately jumped to the igniter. Have you done anything to rule out other possibilities? No gas in the gas tank will cause a car to not run as well.

Ignitors RARELY go bad. In fact, i've never actually heard of one truly failing, though i've heard people blame it only to be wrong.

Either way, if its turns out to be the ignitor I have an extra for sale
