Help have no spark

Hey i have a 87 that has no spark. I let it sit two weeks since the last time it ran. Ecu is good. Has new coil, cap, rotor, plugs, wires. I think its my ignitor but I want yalls take. Ive only had it running for a month. It would die spontaneously and wouldn't start for awhile. The problem was a bad connection between the ignitor and coil so I put dielectric grease in the plug. Any info will help!

check the white and black wire that comes off your alternator the battery likes to eat them..

Sounds like the igniter is the only thing left. there's no procedure to check on non turbo models but if u have checked everything else its a good chance that's ur problem

No none. tomorrow Im going to go threw the harness and check connections and clean them.

Do you have a CEL? If there's no CEL check the cps, or grounds to ECU

If you don't have spark, you have a code. Unless you have grounded the distributor somehow.

I got it running, It was i think its call the cps sensor in the distributor.

Either you have a CPS or you have a Distributor, can't have both. Turbos had the CPS and N/As had distributors, but both work similarly..

The distributor has a CPS in it. You could say the pick up in both vehicles is the same, less the secondary igntion on the 7MGE.

So in theory, since it has a CPS in it, could you use it on a standalone combined with smart coils?
