i was out driving, and i got on it and shifted to 2nd and all of the sudden it didnt go into gear. it bogged down a bit and then died. i cant even get it to idle normally with out dieing. it sprays a shitload of gas out the back end and i burned a half a tank going 50 miles last sunday. i purchases a fuel pulsation damper [thinking that was the problem] and i just put it in. is there a way to test and check to see if the pulsation damper is ok? my friend said something about blowing in the end of it and what not. im not sure if ive got a serious problem somewhere but im running really rich with only basic boltons [exhaust, filter, plugs. etc...] could this be the pulsation damper? what else could it be?
it made a 500mile trip with no problems and then i got it back and now it would go over 2500 rpms with out cutting out and bogging. the turbo sounds like its spooling incredibly fast, but im not getting any boost. the car kinda jerks when i try to drive it. i have to keep my foot on the gas to keep it from dieing. i also tried to throw it in neutral when i was driving it the first time when it happened and it would die in neutral...
any help? advice? sorry if the post is out of whack and disorganized. its cold as balls here and im getting sick of going out in the cold to play with things.
