Hi, i just got my upraded ct26 and i've got the notch on the intake side matched with the other notch. I need to angle the hot side so the oil lines, water lines and IC hose will fit properly. I took off the "V" clamp and the shit wont budge. I tried PB blaster but it doesnt do anything. I need some help with this. THanks!

Ok, I looked back at a previous thread i made about a similar subject and i was told to use a blow torch. I'll try that tomorrow. In the meantime does anyone have any other suggestions?

Call whoever did the upgrade and ask them for help, I would not take a blowtorch to a fresh turbo unless somebody put a knife to my throat.

Do not use a blow torch.

Is this an upgraded turbo that actually uses the coolant lines? I had mine upgraded with Garrett internals and blocked off the coolant lines. It just used the oil lines.

Yes, I agree, call the shop that upgraded this.

I just installed my turbo -- if you are using the exact same CT-26 housing, then what trouble should you have?

I used PB blaster and let it soak for a day, then the next day put some more on. You can heat the area up also but don't torch it.

Remember to have some oil in that turbo and prime it if it is brand new before you go spooling.

Yaay! I got it apart by using a propane torch and a chisel that a made sharper. The turbo is in and it works great, I love it! Thanks for all your help!

Congrats. Just as a follow up:

1- What kind of turbo do you have?

2- Where did you get it rebuilt?

Good job, I don't know if I have the courage to use a torch as my engine and turbo had numerous oil leaks and oil is splashed everywhere. ;)

Its aa ct-26 with a 60-1 and clipped 10 degrees. I bought it off of ebay. It seemed to be in used condition but it was very new looking with very little shaft play. I only used the torch to gently give it a bit of heat. The exhaust produces more heat at idle than my torch could so using a torch is no prob.
