Where is the TPS located on the 7mge? I think it's going out, cause if you just let it idle it wants to die, the rpms get down to below 500 and then it makes a popping noise in the exhaust. What is going on?

First things first, start by checking your codes and see what you get.

The TPS is located on the front side of the throttle body, it has a 4-wire plug going into it. When i had this problem it ended up being a bad air flow meter (AFM). let us know what you find!

Okay I tried to pull codes but when I hook up the paper clip it does'nt put my car in test mode...?
Make sure you've got a good connection to each pin. If you still cannot get it to go into the diagnostic mode you can try it at the ECU. I'd check the harness though, as there's obviously an issue in that case.
Two other things you can check are the TPS' IDL switch, the AFM's FC switch, and try cleaning out the ISC. Details for all of these are under the FI secions of the TSRM, also located at the site linked to above.
