A screwed up idle is (probably) indicative of a leak somewhere after the AFM. Stalling when the BOV discharges it the result of not tuning for the loss of measured air that the ECU still thinks is heading for the engine. I don't know of any way around the stalling issue aside from adding a fuel controller with adjustments for that.

Make sure your bov is sealed up good, no leaks. My bov is atmosphere as well and i am having ABSOLUTELY no stalling issues not a single one. does run rich thats all.

As far as the stocker, either plug the old lines or put a new oem bypass valve back on. DO NOT use breathers on either end where it used to attach, or you will create one big boost leak on the 3000 pipe, and allow unmetered air into turbo, or loss of metered air before turbo.

Childersburg AL,
venting into the atmosphere dosent always cause stalling, the ecu has already designated fuel for the air being vented, thus causing rich spikes. depending on certain varibles it can cause stalling.

I should have better qualified my statement and added that the venting to atmosphere with an already bad idle was *most likely* the source of the stalling.

well i dont have it vented its pluged up and it didnt idle intill i did the change to the BOV it dont stall on me anymore but is sounds like it wants to, so i should keep it pluged or run a hose from where the stock valve was at?
