Help 2jzge into 88 NA... help a newb!!

Just bout a 88 NA, first supra ....

also picked up a clean 2jzge, i got the BIC mounts on the way, i can figure out how to get the motor in the car, thats not a problem

but dont know what to keep from the 7m and what harness,ecu, sensors, etc. i need to use

ive tried to search but there is nothing straight forward on exactly what to do.


** i eventually am planning on going NA-T so if that makes a difference lmk.

Use your 7mgte wiring harness and ecu, with the 7mgte electronics.

He's NA, though. Also doesn't the 2jzge use an MAF? I'm interested in this for my 92 NA

i would guess its straight forward just like with gte with NA electronic

You'd think, but I've heard you need the turbo electronics and harness, even though the 2JZGE has a distributor and an MAF instead of the 7MGTE's coilpacks and Karmann AFM...

just seems to me like a bunch of stuff won't mix..

you will need to use the 7mgte Cam position sensor, AFM/sensor.
Eveerythng else will plug in.

You will need to change a couple of plugs on some sensors so that the 7mgte harness will plug onto the 2jzge sensors. only one 0r 2 of these sensors anyways.
The sensors will all walk with 7mgte electronis.

You will also need to extend/rewire the TPS to the correct pins.

The cam position sensor will need to be modified so that it can bolt down. Fitment itself is not a problem.

If your are keeping the 2J NA at the moment then everything from your 7M NA will slap onto the 2J. You will need the 2J TPS and alternator connectors to splice into your 7m harness. Some wires in your 7M harness will also need extension or shortening.

Basically you willl use all of your 7M electronics and injectors.

When you decide to go NA-T then you will need to source 7MGTE harness, ECU, Ignitor, coils and various other sensors.
