Just wanted to stop by and say hello and say what a FANTASTIC forum this is.
Ever since I bought my beloved mk3...ive been avidly reading up on how I can get Lots Mo Powa out of it...and this place has got tonnes of top info and knowledgeable folks by the look of it.

Thats it for now really :icon_bigg

but heres a quick pic of the beast...(7M GTE manual gearbox)
At present she is running a 3" custom turbo back Zorst (sounds lovely I must admit) and a shimmed wastegate and manual boost controller.
The car is an 89 car and pretty much mint...I fell very lucky and bought it from a fellow enthusiast (3 owners in its life)
Anyway

Immediate plans are metal headgasket

ARP througout.

550's ++ or more

Walbro

new wheels

etc :biglaugh:

Welcome to Supramania!!!Very nice ride there dude, I like the Uk's 89+ supra with the pre89 tails. Good choice for a starter, with a better and stronger headgasket and ARP you're ready to put down some heavy mods:evil2:

Thanks guys. Well pleased with the car.
Now just got to find a thread about what the stock exhaust manifold is capable of (rwhp wise).....
Is it a T3 flange Im guessing?
thanks

Very clean Supra you have there! The stock exhaust manifold is actually flanged just for the CT26 turbo. It's more square than the T3 housing, and still doen'st match with the T04 flange either. If you wanted to go big utilizing the stock manifold, the 'Lipp Boss' turbo's are pretty hard to beat!:naughty: :boink: You could port the stock manifold yourself. Or just keep it simple, and get a CT upgrade done by one of the two places that do them on Mania'. I had a .57trim that made pretty decent power, even with the car untuned.

Thanks a lot :)

What sort of cost am I looking at for a CT upgrade please? and what sort of power can they make? (beefiest upgrade possible!)

wow very nice and clean! Is that original paint? what kind of mileage--- the interior looks to be pretty nice as well...

Like the solid top too, more rigid w/out the targa slicin' up the chassis' support.

nice car!!! An upgraded ct 26 runs about 500-600 bucks with a core. I am no expert but on a 57 trim i think you are looking at about the 350 hp range safely and about 370-400 on a 60 trim. MDC makes one where you keep the stock housing but he puts a garret interanls in it....that is supposed to be pretty badass as well....just check out the vendor section

Thanks!
it is completely original paint! Mileage is about 80k. 3 owners from new and full Toyota service history up until the last enthusiast owner who only didi about 6k miles in it iirc

jugodegolf - thanks :)

Thanks for the info :naughty:
I think I am going to get a T4 manifold adapter in that case :naughty: SOunds like it may be less retrictive in terms of what turbo I can use..... Im looking for 500 whp really as a minimum to justify having to remove the engine and semi build it (first off).
Im already hooked on buying a MAFT pro

I usually don't like the hardtops but your supra's so clean it doesn't matter.

Thanks guys :)
appreciate it.

Slightly off topic and in the wrong place....but has anyone managed to fit the largest of the XS power style intercoolers to a Mk3??

as I have one in my garage and am hoping to use it and then get some hard pipes made up during the engine build.. :biglaugh:

600mm x 300mm x 100mm (4 inch thick!)

Aircon has been removed from my car but has anyone fitted one of these brutes please?
Any guides or bracket ideas knocking about on SF?
