Hey everyone i joined awhile back when i used to own my old white package 91 supra turbo. Needless to say i was a noob back then and ditched it because it developed a BHG :nono:
I then purchased a 92' vr4 and am just finishing up my project with that and have recently acquired an 89' ATX Turbo Supra that i am wanting to restore. For now i'm just wanting to go BPU with it with possible further upgrades down the road.

anywho...just checkin back in to SM :icon_bigg

anyone have a good used ATX? lookin at starting to restore her sometime soon, just looking at pricing options. Thanks

Hey there, welcome back.

I would say that since you are looking for something, and introducing yourself in a way, head over to the introduction section and post there. People go there to look for new members, or "new" members

The tranny you could look for in the for sale section, couple of partouts going on and sometimes just trannies come up for sale separately. You can do a search in just the MKIII parts for sale section too.

When you are in the section, look in the upper right corner where the post counts are the choose search this forum. Or you can choose advanced search using the dropdown from the search button uptop under your screen name.

And lastly, depending on the sort of power you are looking at, your preference, and from what you wrote...when you're deciding to go higher power you might want to look at getting a standard tranny. Again, depending on power goals, the turbo or non-turbo tranny. Anyways, since you started the thread, whether it may or may not get moved, post osme pics! Everyone loves to see pics of the supras when new members join, or come back.

MSupra91;

I had the same issue, i purchased a new steering column as i fucked up my old one. To take out the old key cyl you need the key. If you do not have the key you have to take off the column IIRC.

There will be a pin size hole that you are suppose to push down with the key in the acc position and it should slide out. But considering you do not have the key you will have a problem.

Take the column off or drop it a bit w/o fully disconnecting it and drill out that pin on the old cyl and it will slide out. I had to drill out the old key cyl that didnt have the key and slide my new one in. Shouldn't take too long.

^^ Link for entire steering

Pic below are instructions on how to take the cyl out.
