I have the heat sheilding intake gasket that Driftmotion sells. I am doubting it's ability to seal, especially the water port below the intake runner at cylinder #2. I like the theory of the gasket and would like to make it work. However, I can only think of 2 ways to ensure it seals and both methods have their caveats. Method one is to apply a thin film of FIPG to the surface. Experience tells me that FIPG on the intake side of things can be detrimental. The flip side of this is that I know it doesn't take a tube to seal the surface. I know that you don't have to have a 1/4" blob sticking out at the seam to make it work. Method two is to use regular intake gaskets on both sides of the heat shield gasket. This seems to be the better route but again poses risks in my experience.
So what does the community have on this? Anyone have any experience with this gasket?
*I missed the 'e' in the title*
