There is at least one person on here with a really cool setup like you are talking about but I can't remember who. I'm sure someone will be along with it soon. I'm afraid you may have just brought up a topic that will be veiwed as blasphamous to some.

Meh. We have pop-ups for a reason.

Yes, that reason is not only because they're damn sexy- it's because they actually light the road properly. The nose of our cars aren't flush-headlight friendly.

Truth. But if you're building a show car that doesn't get driven on the road, go for it.

honestabe would be the only successful custom flush-headlight setup I've seen to date,
and they do look very clean.

I don't recall the manufacture that makes them, But I've seen "flush-mount" style
headlights in the past...but they did have a bit of lift to the bulbs themselves so that they could safely light the roads.

*goes digging for pictures*

rodel had a pretty awesome setup, but they weren't flush. check in with honestabe (he's done the most thorough one). i think people have talked about using NSX headlamps as the starting point.

I'm surprised nobody alerted me to this thread. First, I'd like to thank you guys for your compliments. GrimJack, once I finally get my Xenon conversions ($620 for all 4, ack!) I'm sure I'll change your mind. I know my flushmounts still need work to get them to the level of cleanness that I want, but they look a lot better than my first set of flushmounts. Look at the bottom of my sig, it has a link to my flushmounts thread that I wrote up and it has over 50 pictures. I'd highly, highly recommend any further flushmount related questions to be posted in that thread.

LOTS and lots of cutting to fit NSX headlights. Trust me. ;)

Adams Lights look good and are well built. They only issue I saw and I mean only is the fact that you have to do some cutting. So unless you are entirely commmited to this set up then try to go a different route. But on the other hand if you willing to make the cut then Adams method will yeild some wicked lights

Canuckrz, people notice when you pull into a nighttime meet. Matt, thank you very much for the compliment. Like I said, I still have a lot more work to do before I will be happy. The boxes need to be remade, the lights rewired, new Xenon conversion bulbs installed, and the lights covered with a sheet of aluminum that has to be bent. Lots of work but well worth the end result.
