Headlight Question

nice idea...you could do that or work on a mod that would keep the popups but they would only open enough to expose those very lights...that would look nice. I've seen it done i believe. It would be kinda like sleepy-eye but a bit higher so it wouldn't be a full blown dated square light and it would probably look good... just rig mounts and some sort of seal like you mentioned to keep water out, and then somehow mod the lights to open to the correct angle...they have adjustments but i'm not sure exactly what they adjust....probably the stopping point of the motors but i'm not sure how much adjustment they allow.

you idea seems cool, but i have no idea how to go about doing it so i cant give suggestions on the fesability of it...sorry.

there is not a stop on the motor that is adjustable. The way to limit the opening height and yet retain the closing height is to rework the throw arm on the motor and the linkage rod that connects between the throw arm and the head light bucket assembley.

yeah i went out and turned the little red knobs on the motors to see what they did... interesting.

I bet that the lights would make the MPG go down a little but not much... a good way to get an idea of the drag it would create would be to cut something, cardboard for example, to the general size of our headlights and then stick it out the window to feel the drag. double the size for both..just don't forget about the road

I made a photoshop a while back as ideas for fixed headlights. I have nothing against my popups and love 'em--I've had 4 cars, and all of them with popups. Just curious about our cars with different headlights.
