The aftermarket tail lights that are out there are extremely expensive and rare, you're better off with covers (or in your case, go to 89+ tail lights).

The NSX headlights aren't drop in and require a LOT of modding.

here's a pic of some NSX headlights..

see how the radiator support is cut? That's only the beginning..

Willfish has aftermarket clear taillights, they cost upwards of $2000 if I remember correctly..

You can remove the orange reflector on your taillights, but that's as far as you can go unless you're rolling in cash..

I started the NSX setup on my old car before I junked it. It's not worth cutting the core support for, unless you're a metal fabricator. Trust me.

I've got new plans that still involve the NSX lights, but I'm not saying a peep about it until they're done- and that won't be for several years. (And no cutting of the core support)

This I cant wait to see, especially if your talking about the newer non-popup style.

Most of us here know there a thread on this, there is mention of the N.S.X. headlight conversion as a direct swap, "Plug "N" Play". To my knowlage, there isn't any evidance of a direct swap, or at least that I've read. No one has mentioned what year N.S.X. Headlight is a direct swap,or how they did the "direct" swap.

Trust me. I've got two full sets of NSX popups. They're nowhere near plug and play. There's a significant amount of cutting you've got to do to your core support to get them to fit. After doing one side and getting it damn close to operational, I decided it wasn't worth it. It makes everything too flimsy up front and the extra bracing needed would be both ugly and bulky IMO.

That's why I've completely revised my plan.

Also, I don't have any problem with the stock popups. I just want something different. When complete, my car will have a plethora of hard to get parts, cool shit, and look good while doing it all. Maybe if I wasn't so lazy, or had more free time I'd actually be motivated to work on it...

The ones in that picture are non-DOT or anything lights. There is a kit of the miata that uses them.

There are better alternatives but they're much harder to install...

Has anyone ever thought about cutting out a bit of the nose below each headlight so light could shine through without flipping up the lights? It would look silly I think if the lights were raised to stock height because the bottom of the light would have a gap below it. Sleepy would look good with this modification I think. But I have never taken the nose off my car before, Is there anything that resides inside the nose like wiring or anything for the headlight sprayers?
