how much would i be looking for a garage to install a metal headgasket?

and how long does it take to install one?..

looks like a fairly big job :D..

or anyone in england that lives near carlisle know of any garages that will do it for cheapish :D ta

many threads about this. its a quite simple job, thats to the simplicity of timing on the supra's
you can pick up a Metal Head Gasket for a decent price, and clean up your pistons / head while you are at it too.

A shop will charge you $1,500+ USD

Make sure it is done right! It's not as simple as taking off the head, swapping head gaskets, and torquing the head back to the manufacturer's specs. (If you didn't know already.) That said, Toyota here charges $1100 USD, and you can find some places here that will do it for around $800.

u MUST at least get the head surfaced and make sure its all the same height.

i would also reccomend getting ARP hardware. search and u will find anything and everything that u will need to know about headgasket jobs. hell, there might even be a sticky thread with a "HOW TO:"
