brake quiet are you sure it's just brake quiet? I can't get past this, isn't it just an alcohol based mixture used to get grease and stuff off your brakes? If so, how can it create a sealant for the surfaces? Why not spray pam on it instead?

The brake quiet is not actually a brake cleaner. It creates friction between the bad and the rotor. I used the brake quiet method on my cometic MHG. Brake quiet sprays out blue and after sitting for about 2-8 minutes it starts to turn tacky and adhesive. From what i've heard, the brake quiet does the same exact thing as the copper spray, but is not as easily deformed by higher temperatures. I have no idea what its chemical properties are, but if you cant find it in stores through the aresol can (the only way i'd go), then it can be found at an online store called midway. I hand lapped my block (with sandpaper wrapped around a piece of glass to keep it flat. I started at 600 and worked my way to 2000 grit, but come to think of it i should have started at a higher grit.) and then i used brake quiet. I also had the head lapped and resurfaced that (with the same method mentioned above) as well. I just passed the 1000 mi mark with no problems yet.

Ummmm errrr not wanting to be a smartarse or a knob about this but you DON'T put brake quiet on the friction surface of a brake pad......

It's sprayed on the backing plate of the pad and works by gluing to pad to the piston so when the piston retracts (square seal in the calliper pulls it back a few thou when you take your foot off the pedal) it pulls the pad away from the rotor and stops is glazing and squealing.

bars leak will fill any hole/gap in METAL areas of your cooling system, including the head. They do use it for radiators but can be used for anything. Like i said even if you do have both block and head milled, my local supra shop reccomends to use bars leak anyways, because mhg's just don't seal that great. Make sure you get the liquid metal type, and not the copper. The copper has been known to clog the radiator.

Defective? how did you tell that. Was it just the nozzel that broke or something. Thanks for the link by the way.

Yes, as a matter of fact the nozzel broke at the bottom and sprayed sticky brake quiet all over me. I was a mess that night. BTW buy some acetone just in case you screw up, it will take off the brake quiet (but i dont know how acetone will affect the rubber coating on some MHG's).
