I need help with two things

1, i m sure i read somewhere i can re torque the stock bolts, is it okay to re torque the stock bolts ?? and if so, to what torque ? I have 70 K original miles on my motor.

2, my powersteering is acting up. My steering wheel feels a little hard. It sometime feels locked up, and i hear a wining noise coming from the right side of the car, and no it's not the turbo. So my question is here, The car sat for almost 2 years before i bought it, could there be Air in the system ? I got a leak from the powersteering reservoir ? When i filled the reservoir all the way, it leaked out after a drive.

I wouldn't recommend re-torqueing the stock head bolts, just spend the money on ARPs. You can do a re-torque but its 50/50 you fuck somthing up.

As for the PS, you can purge the system by lifting at least the front of the vehicle, topping off the resivoir leaving the cap open while the car is running, cycle the wheel all the way to the left and back to the right slowly back and forith. Check for leaks at the bottom of the resivoir and along the hoses..

Hope this helps!

You are using the correct ATF fluid for the power steering? I had a small leak, it turned out to be the suction hose from the res. to the pump. Clean them all off and then with the car parked crank the wheel back and forth(bleed the air as mentioned above). Then look for any sign of a leak.

Hey Fasi, if you have a bad PS pump (hope not), I have a couple sitting in my garage. One of unknown mileage, one with 115-120K miles on it.

yea thanks man, i wasn't sure to do it or not about the bolts. I might just leave it alone for this summer and drive it for 2 more months till it sleeps in a garage.

Thanks sam for the input.
