I have developed a noise in the head it appears to be in the vicinty of the intake area around cylinders #3 and #4. I pulled the covers and all appears to be ok. I have yet to pull cams and shims to see if my valve's are present.

I think I may have dropped at least one. I got a real high spike on my Safc2 for the Knock Sensor and it was stumbeling on idle Dropping to 560 ish. It ran ok but was lacking on power. Anyway on to the meat of it.

I am thinking of rebuilding/upgrading my valve train. I have never done it, But have done a few swaps and a few successful BHG fixes. I have a decent amount of tools and plenty of time.

What special tools would I need?
How do I decide what valves to replace the stock one with?
What should I keep and eye out for?
And finally Is there a Thread on this that I have clearly missed? :sarcasm:

Thanks, Matt

Lmao!!

If you broke a valve then you know it...your shit would be fucked up! Your valves aren't going anywhere! You also have blew up your intake if you broke a intake valve....leave your head work too a profeshional as this is obviously way way......WAY over your head (no pun intended!)

Again read the first post I am not asking people to Diagnosis my head problem. I am asking if " A person of average level mechanical skill and plenty of time can rebuild a valve train and what it would take?"
I added what happened to the car prior to that as added info to why I am asking.

I am getting real tired of the Forum bullies busting peoples balls for just trying to learn .
At least I didnt post

If you dropped a valve it would cause a LOT of damage. More than likely it's a worn shim so it's clicking a bit, check the clearances (this is all in the TSRM).

Okay I'll hold your hand as it's obvious you never googled "valve job"....you can't "fix" a valve...you can't "replace" a valve...you can't do a god damn thing too a valve without proper machinery and knowledge! Doing anything too a valve is going too cost you $$$ as if you do 1 then you do them all!

My post was not meant to bash you...I lol'd for the same reason one laughs at a little child for asking a silly question! It was cute almost!

Don't touch your head! Don't even look at it! It is not something you can fix as it's so damn obvious that you have not a clue what you are doing and will probably cause more harm than good...take it however you want but when your shit don't run I want you too remember the asshole that said "don't touch it!"
