even if u by used, if ur getting a MHG you will (more than likely) need to resurface your head/block. metal head gaskets dont like to bend...so if you dont have the money for a new MHG, buy an OEM and use proper torque specs.

I confirmed mine with a quick gas test and pulled it apart, i'm going back together with a stock gasket as i don't see the need for a MHG with stock internals like what i have. I priced the gasket kit at around $50 on ebay, plus a better HG either from Driftmotion, or even a Felpro (if the Felpro doesn't hold up well in our cars someone feel free to correct me) That brings my total parts price minus ARP studs if you are going to use the to about $130, plus new oil, rad flush, and coolant) Parts wise for a stock repair this is not an expensive job but as you said you should confirm it with a leakdown test and have the coolant tested for exhaust gases too.

Here's the gasket set i ordered from Ebay:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyota-Supra-3-0L-Turbo-DOHC-24V-Head-Gasket-Kit-7MGTE-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQfitsZModelQ3aSupraQQhashZitem56413cbda4QQitemZ370461687204QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories as far as the Felpro goes i've used them many times in other motors without any issues, but i was offered a great deal on a driftmotion stock HG that i can't pass up. Unfortunately I may be making a liar out of part of my signature, because this repair is gonna be cheap, fast, and i with all the prep work and and help from the community here it will be good to boot

That's what i've had recommended to me, this one includes a "graphite coated" head gasket, but rather than risk having to do it again, i'm getting one i know is going to work well, make sure of course when you do those studs your clean the threads well, and use the Moly lube for an accurate torque reading otherwise you'll be back here again, check out the Mk3 section of DriftMotion for the Stock headgasket it should be what you need
