ill give you the whole story since your interested (thats a good thing)
its a 89 na motor that had a slightly BHG and some rod noise
i had the crank polished rod big ends resized new rod bushing at small end
new pistons new rings new wristpins
main journals checked and honed
rods and main bearings clearences checked
new bearings
new oil pump
new water pump
new tensioner
a full master kit is what i got.
the block and head were resurfaced for a MHG i researched many local machine shops before settleing on this local speeed shop. the machinist said he had done lots of MHGs before and was confident he would be able to meet surface finish requirments he also had a built 7m sitting in his shop waiting for pick up.
i had already decided to ditch the 86mm gasket and plan to order a 83mm 2.0mm thick greddy or cometic gasket havent decided which one.
my post count on this forums is low but im like 800 somthing on sf ive rebuild a 7mge before so im not completly new i just come off like it. heres what my new plan is
83mm 2.0 thick MHG
stock ct26 rebuilt by someone not sure who yet
na-t lines from 935motorsports
ill make my own down pipe
stock boost levels with fuel cut until maft-pro from dr jonez later on down the line with wide band.
if i ever get bored of the 7m ill probably go 2jz so i dont think the 7m will ever get a bigger turbo so thats why im not to worried about the pistons
