well lets start off the car was running fine 2 days ago, started up good everytime i shut the car off. i let it sit yesterday being as i ran it kinda a hard the day b4 and now i just went out to start it so i can do a couple things, it doesnt even wanna crank. i called my friend up he said try rocking the car back and forth, like the manual says( by the way its freaking hard to move this car on a slight incline by urself) and nothing. thought it might be the factory alarm( since i read on here sometimes that could be the problem) and at first i tested the alarm. i locked the door with the key and opened it from the door switch( usually sets the alarm off) and nothing for the first 3 times i did that. then on the 4th time the alarm went off. i tried turning the car on again, and i got the samething. i hear like a low click but thats it. any help with this would be appreciated

I agree with the above try getting some momentum on the car, put it in gear and pop the clutch it should start right up. shouldn't be that hard if it's already on an incline. clicking instead of the starter turning the engine over is normally low battery 9 times out of ten.

watch out for the alarm though. mine went out and i didnt know what the hell was wrong. i tried locking and unlocking the passenger door and the car started. when that went out the trunck still works, i think; that was a long time ago. good luck

That doesn't necessarily mean the battery is "fine".

I put a NEW battery in, and in 3 days, had STARTING problems. Turns out, the alt/fan belt was WORN and SLIPPING and my alt was not charging properly. It doesn't take LONG at ALL for a "poorly/non" charging NEW battery to "lose" it's ability to start these cars...

Try a "jump", and if it fires right up, you may have a charging system issue.

Also, try CHARGING your "new" battery, then see if it has any trouble. Mine tended to START when COOL, but NOT when it got warm/hot... (with the weakened battery from my poor charging state.)

Check battery voltage yet?

...just another thought... VOLTAGE may be correct, but under LOAD, a battery may not have the CURRENT available to turn over the motor...

Even a "dead" (near "dead") battery will often show 12 volts.
