so im trying to figure this out, bought a new battery because i had thought the old one was just old because i kept having to jump start it. Now im having the same problem with this battery. Could there be an electrical short some where in my car? if so where? what is draining my battery?

EDIT: it's not the alternator..cause it charges the battery..but what the heck? :p

I had similar problem, I ended having to reset the brain on the security system, by unplugging the wire harness. I then recharged the battery and plugged the harness back in. All I can figure, is that the alarm was triggered and somehow went off and stayed triggered until it pulled the juice out of the battery. Your scenario might be different though, like if you have a high power stereo with amps. If the amps are wired wrong, they will pull power from the battery.
