Well last week while driving i noticed it was revving a little bit higher then normal. When i came to a stop and put it in park, it started to rev from 1,000 to 2,000rpm. I was thinking its the TPS or ISC. So i pulled the codes and i got 24, 34, 42, 51. When i unplugged the TPS it stayed at 1,800 and didn't rev and down until i plugged it back in. Im not sure where to start to check. And where is the "air intake temperature sensor" located?

i would appreciate any help.

If disconnecting the TPS makes a difference in the idle, it would seem logical to start there. My '91 had a similar issue on first start up after the rebuild. TPS was out of alignment relative to the throttle plate. I used my multi-meter and the voltages outlined in the TSRM to recalibrate it and it idles perfect. Before making adjustments,1.) check that the set screws are both tight. If they are loose, there's a good chance you will find it out of spec. and, 2.) make a match mark to put it back in place if the adjustment makes it worse instead of better. Good luck!

Clear the codes and see what comes back. It's likely the 51 will. If it does you'll have to check the TPS. See the TRSM for details. If you don't have one ask member JStoked to look in his...

you dont need the trsm. google code 51 on your supra there are alot of things it could be. make sure your ac is on when you test it.

Are you sure about this...?

Remember. You're in the Tech Section which is where mis-information is less than tolerable.
