Have you ever had a dream so scary you thought you were going to die?
I mean, not like in the dream, but you wake up confused and having the mindset somebody or something is trying to kill you, not knowing who or what it is?

I just had the weirdest experience in my life, not like a nightmare but like out of body experiences. Ever since my grandma passed away I keep finding myself waking up in random places in my house not knowing where I am thinking somebody is trying to kill me, and I have never had this happen before.

So I fell asleep around 9pm (According to my step-dad) and had a dream. My dream was the weirdest dream ever, I dreamed that I saw people getting murdered, and I saw my friend being taken into a dark room and heard him yelling, it felt so real but I realize it wasn't. Then I woke up with a ringing in my ears and I couldn't move, I tried so hard to get up and give myself time to cool off but I couldn't move. I know I was awake because I've been awake since. I finally was able to barely move my arms and I shot up and ran to my Supra, and finally cooled off.

I'm quite tired of having these stupid experiences, and it's close to being a daily thing. I've waken up in both bathrooms (Different times, I can only be in one place), I've waken up in my car, even under the covers on my couch and in the bathtub. It's getting to the point to where it's just getting stupid, and I fall for it everytime. I just have an extreme fear for my life.

It has happened to me in class one day and I had to walk out all paranoid before.

Has anyone else had something similar to my experiences? Why do you think I'm having these experiences? And should it stop?

I know I'm not going to get accurate answers, although I never know, asking a Supra forum, but I'm anxious to know..

Thanks everyone
Matt

look up what dreams mean...

people in dreams are manifestations of yourself, if they're getting killed, that's parts of you that you feel you are losing...

the waking up and not being able to move is common in a nightmare, and it's your normal waking mind coming online before your body is taken out of paralasis. We shut off the link between our body and our mind during sleep so we don't act out our dreams, it's perfectly normal (though terrifying if you can't figure it out)

No, I don't take any drugs or meds, I'm not really stressed out, just stressed about a girl (Not related).

That's something weird to think about, so it hasn't happened to anyone besides me? Or nobody who has read this yet. The whole mind and body shutting down is a weird concept to think about..

Ever had panic attacks? Nothing like that has ever happened to me, but 4 of my ex girlfriends dreamed that I was trying to kill them while they were asleep in bed with me. Wierd huh? One of them gasped and raised up in bed. I (being a nice guy) tried to hug and kiss her, to let her know its ok and safe...and she started balling in the wierdest scared tone. She then told me about the dream, and said when she woke up she thought it was real, and I was still trying to kill her. LOL I felt sorry for her, but it was kinda funny too...She wouldn't spend the night with me anymore, I had to stay at her place. :biglaugh:

Nope, no panic attacks, well there are sometimes when I doubt my sanity, but nothing major where I imagine myself going crazy anytime soon.

I had a dream last week that I was at the track meet (Coming November 9th) and I burned out in my n/a Supra street tires in the box, and crashed and woke up all fast and stuff. Justin laughed so hard when I told him, and called me a moron.

What can I say?

Especially if you're having episodes of sleep walking, frequently. And it wasn't happening before.

Sounds to me like this behavior is being triggered by something. I wouldn't know what that is though. I'm not a psychologist. Just know a little. Does your family have a history of sleepwalkers?

Sleep walking is something that happens prodominantly in children. I would find go get help and find out what's up.

I'm more concerned about what I'm dreaming about. I looked through various websites (Dream dictionary) and my dream seemed to had nothing to do with what they say. I just have really freaky dreams, where I wake up freaking out.

I haven't performed any actions other than sleepwalking in my case. Like eating, or misplacing things like I've heard. My parents don't sleepwalk and I haven't heard my family bring it up. I usually dream about killing someone, someone I know being killed, or someone or something (I don't know what) trying to kill me.

I find myself sane, but I'm going to go to a specialists this weekend.

never take the dream at face value...

but yes, the sleepwalking can be quite bad as you have NO idea of what you're really doing you can get seriously hurt in this state...

I had episodes of sleep walking and night terror in the past. In the end once I resolved some major issues in my life the problems faded away. I was lucky as I was aware of the causes and was able to do something about it. Like has been said see a doctor.

Do you have stairs in your house? You might want to put a nightstand in front of you door so you would have to wake up and move it to leave. Don't wanna break your neck. :aigo:

Nope not tried getting high. And no stairs, The only thing I'm worried about sleeping walking and doing is driving my car some place..

I wake up and I think I am going to die, it's really hard to explain.
