have transmission question

Hey guys i am doing a clutch install next weekend and i need to know if there is a replacable seal on the tranny shaft i should be replacing. I already ordered a new rear main seal since there is oil all over the tranny, so i was wondering if the tranny has one too because i never checked to see if it was oil or tranny fluid

As I recall there is, but I've never seen one really leak... they aren't subject to the high heat that engine oil seals are.

my black supra had a leaky seal there... its called the "input shaft seal"... fancy name huh?

Very rare seal to spring leaks from.

What Grim said. Take a good look at that rear main seal while you have a chance.
