So pretty sure the targa holders (where the front of the targa slides in) in my hatch are fubar. They have way too much tension and I've already dented the top and that was being as gentle as possible. I took them apart and I am pretty sure the spring is way too strong because it takes A LOT of effort to compress it all the way or even half way. I've tried looking around to find something to fix this but to no avail so I have just been laying the targa long ways in the back and taking turns slowly but I really way to fix this stupid problem. I know it is not just me being a dumbass because my old supra did not have this problem at all.

I guess my question is, does anyone sell a replacement mount/ spring or is there any one who has made them own mount/ holder?

Maybe you could just replace the springs? I've done this on the rear targa holders and it worked great. I've never taken the front holders apart tho, so I'm not familiar with their guts. Just a thought...

I have a spare set on my parts car I could sell you the whole front targa holder. Send me a PM with your offer.

Well I did try to slide it above them too but it doesn't fit. I feel like I am loosing my mind over this. I never had a problem with the ones in my 88. Here is what it looks like, maybe something is out of place... with cover

Funny how its the simple things sometimes. Glad you got it figured out. :)

For future reference, most parts for the interior have either an L or an R on them somewhere. Pretty self explanatory what that means. When in doubt, check the letter. ;)
