I thought that I read in SF that they were crap. I was going to get them because they were a cheaper alternative to the Bosch kit. However I want to do a HID conversion and I heard taht you can't use ebay housings for a HID kit.

Im pretty sure you can use them for an HID conversion but I would have to look more into it, never herd of any H4 housing not able to do an HID to me it was a big improvement compared to the stock ones.

Looks good. If they're brighter than stock I might just give them a try too. Do you have a pic with the lights on?

That's what I needed to know, I'll order them really soon. If they light up some more than stock ones, then I might not need HID's.. although as someone said here, (supradan?), it's unsure wether you can use HID's or not.

Thanks for the pics bro! Although I must admit I don't like the work on your bumper at all!!! =( ... But, to each his own, if you like it, good for you! :)

i spent $110 shipped from www.rallylights.com for a set of Xenon 100% white H4 bulbs and housings. Keep in mind these are TRUE H4 bulbs & Euro Hella housings, not the fake plastic/tin foil housings on ebay. Alot of times the ebay housings their reflector material isnt setup right and projects light the wrong way.

Awesome buy but they need major adjustments to line them up properly (since their euro). I was going to get the Ebay bulbs and housings just to try them out but i just went with this set. Hell id buy the Ebay ones just for the hell of it.

Hey Sabotage,

I just ordered them. 10.99 + 20 shippping... 30.99... if it doesn't work out well, at least it's not a hell of a lot of cash, and maybe I could resell =P

But I'm hearing good comments on them. It comes with a pair of H4 bulbs, and the ad says it's 60% brighter than stock. I know ads lie all the time, but hell, if it's 1/3rd of that (20%) brighter than stock, I'll already be happy. Plus, with this projectors, when a bulb dies, I only have to buy the bulb, and not like now, where I have to buy the whole thing... (sealed beam, is it called? I dunno, I haven't had to buy one yet for my car).

Another thing: isn't the alignment easily done to our pop-ups? There are two things to adjust the headlights in there.. I've never touched them, but I know they're there =P

yup 2 screws one on bottom and one on the side, just park the car 25 feet away from a wall measure distance from halfway between light housing and floor and then adjust accordingly.. ill see if i can find the full directions

EDIT:
checkout www.rallylights.com for just about all the info youd want/need on H4 and HID lighting :)

since we are loosely discussing headlamps, has anyone here ever mounted two small side by side round lamps in our housings? I saw a pic of this done on an mkiii once and i thought it looked great. Anyone done it/ have any info on it?

thanks

SupraNicholai has done it on SF. you can buy the projector lights @ www.rallylights.com they are 90mm round lights, it will run you about $200-$400 not including mounting hardware (which as to be custom fab'd)
