My goal for my supra is low 12s. Will a 57 trim get me there? I don't want to go with a new manifold/turbo/etc so I was wondering if the 57 would do the trick?

The answer is yes, with supporting mods and a decent driver.

wow. what other mods and what boost level hits a 12.5 on a stock turbo?
I just ran a 14 flat on tsock turbo at 12 PSI but that was with a really really shitty 60. Even if it was a better 60 I couldn't have gotten to 12's, that's for sure
I guess my plans will stick with the 57 trim then!

Auto trans can sometimes shave off a full second compared to a 5-speed. I'd say it'd be REAL hard to hit low 12's on a 5-speed. My 57 has yet to break into the 12's and the best time here in Vancouver with a 57 trim (411 RWHP) is 12.8 I think. And that's with a fair amount of practice.
could be possible, if you pull a few hundred pounds off of your car and have a 89lb person driving it. 18psi and a NA block/cams wouldnt hurt
