Has anybody used Mr Gasket martial sheets?I wanna make oil drain gaskets for my turbo and some exhaust gaskets too.So if anybody used them just post your experience with them.thanks

Well with the time ive been on this board i've never seen or heard of anyone
using these kind of gaskets, may i ask why you dont just order pre-made
gaskets from Driftmotion, Toyota, etc etc? May cost you a little extra
but there designed for the specific application and may be better in the
long run...

I have not used the gasket material you have talked about. I will tell you though it is better to go with the Toyota gasket or one of similar nature. I didn't think about it once but I did use a metal based gasket that I cut out. It did do well for about a few weeks until I could order a real gasket..

I see what you guys mean but there's been many people that use them on other cars and they work.I just wanna use the gasket martial for my turbo connections (oil drain,coolant line)I would save so much money.I mean ether way what i am gonna do is get the actual gasket for my connections then use the gasket martial to make a gasket and see if it actually seals if not just put the" Real gasket" in.But again if anyone has some experience with them post.thanks

I've used their exhaust sheets before in a pinch. Terrible to work with and didn't really hold worth a flip...

I keep a sheet of plain gasket paper in the shed along with a set of wad punches "just in case"..

Nothing worse then doing a repair on the weekend and having to wait for Toyota to reopen Monday to order in a simple gasket.

You can use it there and throw a bead of silicone on there. I would recommend on getting an actual exhaust gasket since that is not a walk in the park to do. I always put a bead of silicone on all of my gaskets except the exhaust gasket and turbo gasket for the manifold. I don't put a lot, just a bead as cheap insurance.

What gasket martial are you using?(fiber,cork,copper,ect)Also would i be ok using this as a gasket for most things other than exhaust and the head?thanks
