A maybe slightly off clutch topic question, feels like the clutch disengages fine i just don't like the super lightness where its kind of hard to find the right spot to shift gears at, but what would cause the 2nd gear grinding in the morning and at times its notchy to shift into gear, I dont punch it into gear though i just have to add a little more effort to put it into gear?

Hey can anybody here do me a favor, or at least help me with something? lol

The TSRM says the clutch pedal freeplay is 0.2 - 0.59 inches, but my pedal freeplay measures to be almost an inch. I would adjust the master cylinder rod, but im afraid that it would push the slave cylinder piston out more and have the release bearing always have pre-pressure on the clutch pressure plate, is that how it should be? Because i don't want to risk damaging anything else, but i cant get it to adjust right per TSRM.
