My 95 Diamante sohc .... The alternator is a pita to change ...same as the sohc 3OOOgt .
But, I agree with the tt 3OOzx being 1 of the worst .
The easiest for me is the 8O's model Chevy/gmc trucks

i think pretty much any old domestic car is pretty easy to work on. there isnt alot of crap on them and there is usually alot of room under the hood. in my old 73 ford i could stand in the engine bay while working on some of it, and it had a 390 in it.

new stuff just wasnt built to be worked on, you have to remove a ton of plastic on most cars to even see the engine.

on my chrysler new yorker v6 you basically have to cut holes in the firewall to get to the back 3 plugs. And the accesorie belt? It warps around all kinds of stuff you have to take off to change it and its basically smooshed against the passenger shock tower. Easy? any older civic. The engine bay is huge, the motor is tiny, and everything is in plain site. The clutch save cylinder is even right under the hood and very easy to get to, etc. My 924 is a pain, usually. Everything is cramped and goes all which ways. The wiring is all over the place. The fuel filter and pump have their own cavity under the car tho, and if you have a big jack or a lift are about the easiest to get to in any car ive worked on. The starter and oxygen sensor are impossible to get to without a lift, or a whollleeee lot of patience. The 02 sensor connector is behind the engine on top of the bellhousing. Which when half the motor is under the dash, pretty hard to see let along unplug

are you kidding? I loved my 240sx, everything was within reach, especially the fuel filter..:D

Have you had to replace a motor in one? it's much harder than swapping supra motors.

oh, and since I did the rb25 swap, it's even worse. but it's all worth it in the end.

I don't know about Fox Bodies being the easiest...they have their moments haha. Like the two hidden screw on the Upper Intake, or the 3 clutch cable adjusters that you have to have if you go to a performance clutch. And you have to remove the engine or take the front bumper, radiator, and the bottom accesories to put a cam in.

They do have a lot of room though.

Still out of all the cars that have been mentioned...Mini Cooper S is harder then all of them. You have to send it to the dealer to get the oil changed. Its a pain.

Porsche Boxster S. There's no way to get to the engine except from underneath! I hear LS1 f-bodies are really gay, and 300zxs/3000gts are a bit of a pain too...

The easiest car I've personally worked on is actually probably my Supra =\ But I'd imagine older cars don't have nearly as much crap in the bay.

This is true for any v8 cam-in-block car. But any full frame v8 rwd car without struts/strut towers is incredibly easy to work on. Lack of technology and tons of space = ftw

also the lt1, 93-96, and 93-02 v6 cars. that body in general. The engine is so far back and there is no room for anything. There is more space in a mk3 engine bay than these cars, and the motor is much narrower. Now that i think about it, the 3rd gen is no easier. The back 4 spark plugs are like pulling teeth. There wedged in between the AC on passenger side, steering and brakes on driver side, shock towers, frame rails, exhaust, and all kinds of wires and hoses. Not a fun job!

you're right, sr20 swaps are very easy to do.

rb25 are not, i had to shoehorn that thing in there. had to beat in the firewall in one spot, and cut out part of the radiator support to make everything fit. it's so tight that the fans are almost touching the pulleys.

I've only worked on 2 car's, so It's a choice out of them :(

The hardest would be my supra, especially under the dash.

The easiest being a Nissan Maxima

I just got back from a drive with my friend and his cooper s, and out of curiosity, i asked how hard it was to work on. he said it's not terrible and i believed him. He does his own oil changes as well.
and i conclude my statement, the 3000gt's and 300zx are by far the worst.
