Hard to decide, need inputs: turbo elbow, DDP, or cooleeze?

I currently have a full 3" exhaust, with a no-name low budget dp. Although bought from ebay, but it has served me well. Gettin' my '89 this week and I'm already in the process of stripping all the aftermarket parts from my current '88 to swap it to the '89.

Here's the skinny:

I plan on upgrading the turbo elbow to allow better flow, as read from those with one. However, I've also been reading about the BIC DDP and Cooleeze's DP, and now I don't know which product I should invest in. :1zhelp:

--> Already have dp, should I just get the 3" LIPP High Flow elbow for like $170
--> Or spent more and invest in either the Cooleeze or BIC DDP?

For owners of either 3 great products mentioned above, what would you suggest? Yes, I have a low budget right now.

I have a cooleeze & I like it, but I wish I would have bought a BIC DDP that returns to the DP instead. I wasn't hot on the idea of the noise of the DDP & I didn't research enough to realize that Randy makes a model that returns it to the exhaust. Considering that you can get +/- 30 more hp for $200 more, it's worth it.

i would have to agree with BIC. although i dont have the ddp, just the regular dp. the stock elbow is insainly restrictive. BIC's stuff is really nice.

If you have a low budget, just save your money untill you can afford to buy what you really want. Don't spend hard earned money on a 3" elbow now, just to buy the DDP later. You might as well run the stocker, or port your stocker untill you have more money.

None of your fucking business
Sell the dp you have now, get the ddp. If you don't want the extra noise, get the semi divorced downpipe. I got a little tired of it after a month. But it definetly came in handy to get rid of those pesky ricers:biglaugh:

kekekeke.....

Thanks folks!

Yea, I really like the BIC DDP but it's not affordable right now! No offense to BIC, it's just I'm low in cash. Guess I'll be saving up, so have one ready for me, BIC! LOL

btw, we don't need fancy mods to walk those fly-by's, only need exhaust and intake! Ha!

Is it THAT loud, though? If it is, then I won't be saving up for a sound system...I'll just enjoy the BOV, my HKS, and DDP (hopefully soon!)....buahahahaha! :icon_razz :naughty:

If you don't want the noise, like me, get the LIPP high flow elbow. It looks a lot like the old HKS unit in the pictures. The HKS downpipe, elbow and bigger T04E spooled as quick as a stock CT, from those that used it back in the day.

If you dont like the noise.

If you have the typical ebay downpipe, u definitely will want to upgrade that because they have a bottleneck on the top of those downpipes. They're not full 3" across. I believe they're 2.5" or 2.75" around where they have the cat, then they go up to 3".
Save the money and get the BIC.
I don't think the BIC DDP is obnoxious. It's only crazy when you get on it and you spool. It means business. Or get the one that recirculates back into the exhaust.... Good choice regardless.

Speaking of smog and the DDP...Does anyone have the ddp where emissions are checked or would the rerouted one be necessary in an area where emissions are checked?

well if they have visual it won't matter, fail on both cases.

If they don't as long as they lay off boost it should be ok :)

That is true, I can drive around all day long and not have it get really loud once.
