Half Life 2: Episode Two!

Okay, i preloaded the black box (TF2, Portal + Ep2) and have been playing TF2 for a few days now, however, HL2 Ep2 looks amazing with one small dinky flaw.....theres no dialogue (captions work) and the console is full of errors about missing sound files

Anyone else tried playing it yet?

Yep - problems already....my install got borked and i'm having to load it alllll over again....on 512k DSL

You have to have two language packs loaded if you have the no dialogue option - specifically, you switch to something other than english, then back to english.

Can't pry myself away from TF2 for long enough to start Ep2. It's loaded and ready to go, though...

Hmm, spend $60 on TF2 & Ep2 separate, buy orange box to get both of them, portal and HL & EP1 (which I already have), or stab the bastards @ EA for ruining another well run program by forcing me to double buy two games to get a decent price on the other two?:icon_evil

So is episode one before or after HL2 regular? OR what gives? And then is episode 2 after episode 1? I beat HL2 in like 3 or 4 days...it wasnt very challenging. I havent really gotten to try any of the source based online games yet thO! dont have a powerfull enough comp anymore. This is actually a Dual 700mhz pentium 3 from like 2001 im using, with windows 2000. It DOES suck

Episode 1 picks up EXACTLY where HL2 leaves off, so to speak, then ep 2 after that.

Valve did it to keep the replay values of the HL2 game up, and spread it out over time. Overall it becomes one big ass game really.

Its not supposed to be for about 6 months, but Ep2 dev cycle was elongated by doing the source engine, portal AND TF2 all at the same time...this time round they need only to do Ep3 and no more messing with the source engine.

i want to say im about half way through or maybe almost beaten ep1

i am loadin cavilians on trains right now been playing for a couple nights now and played atleast 8=9 hours


my buddy skipped to ep2 and played some kick ass game it looks like but since ep1 takes off from hl2 i wanted to continue playing the story board


ive played, hl, blue shift, hl2 and im ep1

i cant remember if there were any other hl games out there.
