Well I am thinking of getting out the supra world. I have been working on my 91T for some time and have lost interest. I would like to know the worth and interest of my motor that I have.
I have been building my motor and have dumped a lot of money into it and know that I will probably never get it back. I just want to know what you guys think it would be worth.
The motor is a completely rebuilt 7M. It has Ross racing pistons and the block has been bored for the correct clearances. The rods have been reconditioned and properly balance and a very respectable machine shop. The crank was check for trueness and polished.
Pretty much everything in the motor is new. It has all new bearing every where including mains, rod and oil pump. It has all new shims in the head so that valve lash is right in the middle. The valves and seats have all been cut to ensure propers seating, along with all new seals. The has been cleaned to look like new, and is mildly ported.
Oil pan was dipped to remove all oil residue. Everything in the bottom end was blue printed (plasti gauged for hours) to ensure perfect clearances. Also it has ARP rod bolts that where torqued and checked with a stretch gauge to make sure of proper poundage.
HKS MHG with arp headstuds have been installed. The head has been decked along with the block surface to proper specifications to ensure no defects in the mating surfaces The exhaust, intake manifolds, along with the turbo elbow are also ported.
Every gasket and seal was replaced with the Toyota gasket set for this motor. It also has a brand new(not reconditioned) oil pump, oil pump drive shaft, knock sensors, oil pressure sending unit, and temperature sending unit.
The turbo has been upgraded by performance techniques so that it is now a 60-1. It has a brand new Toyota timing belt along with many other parts I sure I have forgotten.
I do have all receipts for this build. The motor was built at a reputable racing engine shop (which I am employed) I put most everything together myself and enlisted the help of my boss on areas I was unsure to eliminate any putting together of things wrong.
Sorry for such a long post
